Dosage & warnings

Adults: 1 metric teaspoon (4 g) once or twice daily in 50 - 100 mL water or juice with meals
Children: 6 - 12 years: ¼ teaspoon (1 g) once or twice daily in 50 - 100 mL water or juice with meals

If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional
Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia
Children under two years of age should not be treated for symptoms of respiratory tract infections without medical advice
Individuals with pre-existing kidney stone disease or a history of renal insufficiency should exercise caution in the use of higher than RDI amounts of vitamin C
Large doses of vitamin C may cause gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea or diarrhoea in sensitive individuals (due to the osmotic effects of unabsorbed ascorbic acid)
