• In the subacute and chronic stages of eczema, the blood and Yin-fluids become consumed by the pathological processes
  • In addition the affected skin becomes thicker and darker, indicating localised blood stasis
  • The important treatment strategies for this stage include nourishing the blood and Yin-fluids and activating the blood to dispel stasis, in addition to continuing with the treatment principles for the acute stage i.e. clear heat toxin, clear damp-heat and dispel wind from the skin
  • This formula is suitable for eczema with clinical features of a chronic presentation i.e. reduced itching, scattered vesicles and papules, thickening and darkening of the skin
