Maia Mothers Collective

Our mission is simple: to empower mothers (and mothers to be) to take back their power, feel held, seen and supported as they navigate the sometimes turbulent season of growing, birthing and raising babies.

The businesses was founded in 2021 by Emma Morris and Monique Peters after they experienced their own induction into motherhood and navigated Matrescence - the process of becoming a mother.

They quickly learned the physical, psychological and emotional changes mothers go through after the birth of their child were not spoken about or acknowledged enough in Australian culture, which resulted in mothers feeling unsupported, overwhelmed and misunderstood.

So, they set out to change the way mothers are supported in the preconception, pregnancy and postpartum season of their lives - and Maia Mothers Collective was born.

Now, the business supports mothers at every stage and via a range of service offerings, including nutritional support, naturopathy, acupuncture, psychology, lactation support, massage, myotherapy, midwifery care, birth classes and mothers groups.

Emma, now sole owner and Director of the business, strongly believes education and connection is key in empowering mothers through this season of their lives. She is proud to offer a range of online courses, workshops, masterclasses and an online membership for mothers which focuses on a different motherhood theme each month.

It is Emma’s vision to change the way women experience pregnancy and early motherhood. Because, when a mother is well - so too is her family, and this turns into a ripple effect in the community and beyond.
