Summary
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to help remove intestinal threadworms and pinworms
- Each course consists of a 6 - 7 week continuous treatment period with a maximum of 2 - 3 treatments yearly
Dosage
- Adults:
- Week 1: 10 drops (0.5 mL) 3 times daily
- Week 2: 20 drops (1 mL) 3 times daily
- Week 3: 30 drops (1.5 mL) 3 times weekly (maintenance dose)
- Children over 3 years:
- Week 1: 2 - 5 drops ( 0.1 - 0.25 mL) 3 times daily
- Week 2: 4 - 10 drops (0.2 -0.5 mL) 3 times daily
- Week 3: 6 - 15 drops (0.6 - 0.75 mL) 3 times weekly (maintenance dose)
- Take before meals undiluted, or add to water, fruit juice or other fluids and consume immediately
Warnings
Contains ethanol
- Contains tree nuts
- Do not use if you are likely to become pregnant or during pregnancy and lactation
- Artemisia absinthium is contraindicated in the presence of gastric/duodenal ulcers
