Ananda works in partnership with the integrative pain management team at Vibe Natural Health. Her areas of clinical focus include chronic pain and its associated comorbidities. These may include digestive disorders such as IBS and inflammatory bowel complaints, stress management, thyroid and adrenal health and environmental or food allergies.
Ananda believes that Clinical Nutrition can facilitate vitality, well-being and some level of healing in everyone. Her passion for natural medicine has led her to focus on the use of diet, nutritional support, herbal medicine, and lifestyle counselling ensuring that every patient’s treatment plan is individual and tailored to their needs.
Approaching pain management from a nutritional perspective may involve dietary changes and the use of dietary supplements. This approach can be used to prevent pain, such as migraines, or help provide relief of pain and inflammation as part of a comprehensive pain management plan.
As a nutrition lecturer and student supervisor Ananda keeps up to date with research and new approaches as well as regularly undertaking professional education to make sure individual treatment plans are the best they possibly can be. Ananda has completed post-graduate studies in Human Nutrition at Deakin University and has shifted her focus to a Masters in the Science of Pain Management at Sydney University to align more closely with her clinical practice.
