Summary
- Derived from Swedish non-GMO oats from which beta-glucan has been extracted in a chemical-free process
- A fine creamy-coloured soluble powder which thickens when added to liquid
- Research on oat beta-glucan has shown that it:
- Is a significant butyrate source, highly fermentable, soluble and viscous
- Promotes epithelial barrier function
- Is lipid-lowering, reduces LDL cholesterol, reduces dietary and biliary cholesterol absorption
- Promotes satiety, normal laxation, modulates blood cholesterol and glucose
- Is immune-modulating by enhancing activities of key immune cells
- Low intestinal gas production compared with inulin as the highest
- If FibrOAT is taken in addition to FloraGenex, the daily beta-glucan intake is a total of 13 grams
- Manufactured from oats which have been assayed to meet the food standard criteria for gluten-free foods
- The limit is below the detection level of 20 ppm gluten or 0.02 mg per gram
- Free from wheat and grains other than oats, gluten, crustaceans, egg, fish, lupin, dairy, lactose, peanuts, sesame seeds, soybeans, corn, tree nuts
- No added sugar, other sweeteners or artificial additives
